CAREER ORIENTATION

CLIENTS

My career orientation aligns with a contemporary approach, particularly with the protean career attitude (PCA) and the Boundaryless career attitude (BCA). The values of self-direction, adaptability and continuous learning associated frameworks (Briscoe et al., 2006; Chui et al., 2022; Hall et al., 2018;Kundi et al., 2021) reflect with my some personal values. As described by Hall (1976,2004) and Briscoe et al. (2006), individuals with the protean career mindset take ownership of their career development guided by their own values rather than organizational expectations. This resonates strongly with my journey since entering the workforce in 2016. I have intentionally pursued diverse roles across various industries including hospitality, logistics, events, construction and defence gaining a broad range of skills and insights that have shaped my understanding of where I want to contribute professionally.

In parallel with the work experiences, I have actively sought out education and training that align with both my evolving interests and the practical needs of the workplace. This include a Certificate 2 in Outdoor recreation, a Certificate 3 in flight operations (Cabin Crew), a Diploma in Aviation Management and currently I am finishing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Project Management, expected to be completed by December and graduate in February 2026. I have also obtained multiple industry relevant licenses and certification such as a White Card, Forklift license, Elevated work platform license and a Heavy Rigid Class B driver's license.

The boundaryless career attitude also closely reflects my orientation, as I have consistently navigated across organizational and industry boundaries to explore new challenges and opportunities (Briscoe et al., 2006; Chui et al., 2022; Kundi et al., 2021; Stauffer et al., 2019). I view my career as a flexible, evolving journey rather that a linear path within a single organization (Briscoe et al., 2006; Kundi et al., 2021). This mind set has enabled me to adapt to changing environments, build a wide ranging skill set and make informed decisions based on my personal values and long-term goals (Kundi et al., 2021). Both the PCA and BCA support a career trajectory that are dynamic, self managed and driven by commitment to growth and meaningful work principles that have guided my professional development to date.
